The Z&Z CSR Amplification Project was designed to enhance the visibility and impact of Z&Z’s scholarship program while strengthening its overall communication strategies. As a family-owned Middle Eastern bakery rooted in cultural heritage and community connection, Z&Z sought to expand its reach, engage a broader audience, and amplify its CSR initiatives, particularly the journalism scholarship supporting underrepresented voices.

To achieve these goals, the project included a detailed analysis of Z&Z’s audience, the development of tailored social media strategies for platforms like TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook, and actionable recommendations to optimize digital presence. Emphasis was placed on improving storytelling, creating measurable KPIs, and integrating CSR-focused messaging. By aligning with Z&Z’s values and addressing key gaps, this project aimed to position the brand as a leader in community-driven and culturally impactful initiatives.

Background

Z&Z, a family-owned Middle Eastern bakery in the DMV area, is deeply rooted in cultural heritage and community connection. As part of its commitment to giving back, Z&Z launched a scholarship program to support journalism students who amplify underrepresented voices and promote cultural understanding. While the program reflects Z&Z’s dedication to CSR, its visibility and communication strategy presented areas for improvement.
